Young Bucs
Now that Tabata has been called up lets see if the Bucs do the correct thing by starting him in left field not right. It makes them stronger defenseively. I Millidge is upset by going to right - well play better.

I don't think we'll be that active this trade deadline. I'd like to see Doumit shipped out but we may get more for him in the offseason. His defense is horrible!

With cedeno in "the doghouse" is a shortstop next to be called up or will there be a possible trade for one? It's getting to that time of the season for the trading flurry to pick up.

I made a post on the article about Walker about Church not even looking at Walker after kneeing him in the head. He just got up and walked away as if to say "serves you right you punk". He is no leader and needs to go ASAP!!!!

I hit view all posts. It was limited on what past posts can be read. It would be nice if we could go back and read all posts by individual. May I ask if anyone else on the board thinks that Church should be sent down to the minors ASAP? A veteran not even hitting 180 is unacceptable. Although he does have some assists from the outfield, his defense on the Pirates will be most remembered with the collision with Walker. Who else sees future upside with Presley?

May I ask what happened to all the old posts? Can they be saved so that people can go back to review them all?

BuddyT21. I hope you're right but Cutch seems like the only sure thing at this point. Lincoln is the only pitcher in the group and he hasn't exactly been Strasburg since he came up. I still think management is more concerned with $$ than spending to win. Matt Capps is a perfect example. I'm 64 and I'd like to live long enough to see them competitive again. If the Rays, Marlins and Twins can why can't we? Without any pitching we're a long way from being there in a year or two.

that isn't quite true.in a couple years jones and mccutchen will be arbitration eligible.that is when the big money comes into play.arbitration not free agency is what is killing baseball.that is when everyone will know if all these trades mean anything.

OldBucsFan. We have Cutch and Jones under control for five more years. Walker, Alvarez, Lincoln and Tabata for 6 more. I think they will be "real" major leaguers before then. The problem is that in todays economics the GM of a small market team has to understand when his core guys are at the point when he thinks they can win and begin adding pieces. Hopefully we get there in the next year or so. I plan on seeing much improved product on the field in the next couple of months. Please don't compair the 70 Bucs today. You will always be disapointed. There will never be another team like them. Those times are over. But we can win, just in the right conditions. If this ownership doesn't win in the next 4 years they must sell!

By the time these prospects become real major leaguers they will be gone to free agency. We need Mark Cuban or someone like him to own the team. I went to Cooperstown last Sunday and talked to and got an autograph from Bill Madlock and remembered how great it was to watch the Pirates. I love the Pirates but enough is enough. WE NEED NEW OWNERSHIP.
